Jon Muth, a Caldecott Honor illustrator, treats us again with his latest book, Hi, Koo! A Year of Seasons. The book features the return of his lovable panda named Koo. Here Koo and two young children play their way through the seasons.
The text is written in haiku, capturing moments in time with Koo and his playmates. An alphabet path is woven through each of the haiku as winter follows fall and spring becomes summer.
Inspired by his own twins, Muth’s delicate watercolors express childlike delight, discovery, and concentration. A great gift book for young children and a good addition to any poetry collection. Ages 4-8. (Scholastic)
